Governing Influence Index of AI enabled Real-time Digital Enterprises

Abstract

Real-time Digital Enterprises (RTDE) using artificial intelligence (AI) exceeds performance in more and more domains, leveraging rapid advances in digital technologies and driving businesses with an exceptional level of user engagements. It discovers customer behaviors and recommends practices that change the nature of business operations. AI yields domain aggregates, entities, and value objects, in addition to employing event sourcing as the RTDE's state mechanism, marketplace dynamics, and cultural changes to provision predictable digital business operations (DBOs). The growing ethical concerns are taking center stage due to moderately defined regulatory aspects of domains and their integrity within RTDE due to extensibility of AI. An RTDE needs to navigate, observe, and manage the implications of AI to avoid the loss of reputation and hefty regulatory penalties. The notion of influence index emphasizes to devise factors to metric the utilization of AI with the DBOs. Even though expectations and characteristics of RTDE are highly dependent on a specific domain, it is possible to manage multifaceted and unpredictable physiognomies of the influence index. IIG (Influence Index Governance) framework is a lightweight and extensible framework that employs factorial models to stabilize and continuously evolve the accuracy of the influence index. The run-time IIG evaluation engine identifies the impact of AI on the DBOs. It streamlines the influence factors for the DBO and their association with the consumers, vendors, partners, & employees. The influence index is derived based on the impact of DBOs to the participants of the RTDE. The value of influence index is an indication of whether AI is in co-relationship with the regulatory requirements, consumers’ privacy adherence, and expectation of the DBOs. Proven IIG use case illustrates the balance between the business potentials and ethics while providing early indications of altering marketplace reputation.
