Topic

DevOps and Microservices Better Together

Abstract

We all want to get out of the rot of traditional SDLC, waterfall, big bang deployments, long release cycles. We want to be faster, more flexible, providing more value upfront, WINNING 🙂, have short feedback loops, be able to work in small cross-functional teams To do that we want to be able to do Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) which leads us to Continuous Delivery. This methodology widely referred to today as DevOps and Continuous Delivery is described in the DevOps handbook... The theme that repeats in the book is that in order to achieve this we need to "have architecture that is modular, well encapsulated, and loosely-coupled so that small teams are able to work with high degrees of autonomy, with failures being small and contained, and without causing global disruptions." In this talk, we will look at how we can build better microservices so our DevOps will be a win 🙂
