Topic

Building a Computing Environment to Support Analytics

Abstract

When starting a new area of analytics or an entirely new analytics function, one of the key areas to address is where and how data scientists will do their work. As more companies have moved into cloud computing, analytics teams have set up their work in cloud infrastructure as well. We’ll share our experiences setting up a cloud computing environment for a new analytics function, including what we felt we needed early on, growing pains we experienced, and how we built a case for our computing needs both with leadership and with our IT partners.
