Advanced Sanctions Matching Techniques via Natural Language Processing (NLP) Methodology

The purpose of the presentation is to talk about how advanced string matching techniques can help the Banks to increase true hit rate and reduce false positives in Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctions name matching process; and thereby can help to identify and block suspicious transactions to reduce the risk of fines as well as the reputational exposure.

Furthermore, she reviewed proposals for Google AI impact Challenge as a DataKind member and presented at numerous Big data and Analytics conferences; published articles in many Blogs and Analytics Journals (Informs Analytics Journals, CXO Insights, Data Science Central) on data science and career advancement related topics. In addition to building practical and impactful risk solutions, she is passionate about coaching and mentoring students.
