Machine learning in industrial sector: The stepchild with large ROI

A recent McKinsey study showed that only 30% of the benefits of Machine Learning in manufacturing sector has been captured. Another study talks about factory optimization being a 1.2-3.7T$ opportunity by 2025. I will take you through various use cases of machine learning in manufacturing from the well known (predictive mantainence) to the not so well known (parametric prediction). I will also talk about the differences between the use case and other well publicized use cases (NLP, speech, image) with an emphasis on inherent data differences and algorithm requirements.
