Topic

Deep Learning on Mobile Devices

Abstract

The talk will cover neural networks (NNs) and deep learning (DL) on mobile devices, including smart phones, watches, drones, and other edge devices. After an introduction, it will discuss current uses available in 2018 and then address issues that require attention in order to make more sophisticated DL widespread in the future. This part will report on new approaches to hardware (ie, processors) and software (eg, shrinking large NN models to fit on small devices). Finally, it will cover future applications of NNs and DL on drones, the Internet of Things (IoTs), and smart cities.
