100 Times Faster, 100 Times Smarter: The Real Business Impact of Augmented Intelligence

Abstract

We live in a world of ever-growing data; in fact, we are drowning in data, yet remain thirsty for knowledge. In a world where there is more data than our ability to process and understand it, we humans become the bottleneck – and are no better off than our grandparents in terms of being able to fully understand what is needed to make good decisions. As a result, today’s business decisions are not based on being good… just “good enough.” Fortunately, new AI approaches have evolved for processing textual and unstructured data, taking us well beyond keyword search and simple pattern matching to the ability to glean true understanding from this information. More than mere artificial intelligence, the business world will be enhanced through the introduction of augmented intelligence that will allow each worker to produce at 100x the speed and 100x the smarts. This business-focused presentation will address - The latest breakthroughs in that have moved AI from natural language processing to natural language understanding… and the surprising contributions made by quantum science - Real-life customer case studies that vividly demonstrate the success of natural language understanding in science and technology, medicine and finance. - The near-term and long-term implications of how AI will truly affect business, proving how AI will not eliminate jobs, but create a large and thriving “super-powered” workforce which will usher in a new age of business productivity and societal success.
