Your AI shopping assistant just got a makeover.

 

OpenAI is expanding ChatGPT’s shopping capabilities with two new features: Virtual Try-On and Favorites.

 

Users can now upload a selfie or full-body photo to see how clothes and accessories might look on them. They can also upload an image or screenshot of an item and ask ChatGPT to virtually try it on.

 

The new Favorites feature lets users save products they like in a Library and revisit them later.

 

Powered by OpenAI’s latest ChatGPT Images 2.5 model, the updates aim to make shopping more visual, personalized, and interactive.

 

ChatGPT can also help users recreate celebrity looks or build an outfit based on a style they describe—bringing it further into territory traditionally dominated by platforms like Pinterest and Google.

 

With AI-powered shopping heating up, the bigger question is whether ChatGPT can become a go-to destination for fashion discovery and online shopping.
