Google combines Search and Gemini with powerful new AI tools for smarter learning. Posted on : Aug 19 - 2026
Google is expanding its AI-powered learning tools across Search and Gemini, introducing interactive visuals, 3D simulations, personalized quizzes, research capabilities, and more.

In Search, students can now create custom simulations to better understand complex topics, generate practice quizzes for subjects ranging from science to languages, and turn uploaded notes, PDFs, slides, and documents into study guides. Lens will also help students work through problems by explaining concepts, identifying mistakes, and offering guidance.

Gemini is adding deeper research capabilities, allowing students to launch multi-step research reports in the background and discuss the findings conversationally using voice. It can also generate interactive 3D simulations—for example, letting users explore and manipulate a 3D model of DNA.

The move reflects Google’s growing push to make Gemini and Search central AI companions for learning, studying, and research as competition in AI-powered education continues to intensify.
