Monday.com is cutting 20% of its workforce—around 630 employees—as it doubles down on AI.

 

The workplace software company says the restructuring will help create a leaner, more focused operating model centered around its AI Work Platform.

 

The platform is designed to bring together:

 

AI agents

Workflow automation

No-code app building

Automated reporting and dashboards

 

Monday.com is betting on a future where AI agents work alongside employees—and increasingly handle entire workflows.

 

The company is not alone. Across the tech industry, organizations are restructuring and redirecting investments toward AI.

 

More than 122,000 tech jobs have reportedly been cut so far in 2026, with AI becoming an increasingly cited reason for workforce reductions.

 

The bigger question is no longer whether companies will adopt AI.

 

It’s how quickly AI will change the structure of the workforce.
