Abstract

Abstract:
Recommender systems are often used in commercial applications to recommend products and services. This talk discusses existing approaches to recommender systems and AI powered architecture, explains how consumers interact with recommender systems, and introduces new approaches that take into account behavioral biases and personal characteristics of consumers.
 
Audience:
This talk is intended for attendees of all levels. The attendees will learn about most popular methods and existing biases in recommender systems.  This content will be presented in a format that is easy to understand for non-experts in the recommender systems field.

Profile

I am a professor of Computer Information Systems and Data Analytics in the School of Business at Quinnipiac University. My expertise is in machine learning, UX and leading with data. I present my research around the world, attempting to demystify the complexity of today's digital world and to make it understandable and relevant to business professionals and general audience.
