Abstract

Developing product analytics and user centricity at GoPro, Jules Malin and Wesley Pasfield will discuss methods for driving change across an organization that enables data-informed decision making. Their presentation will also cover topics related to data architecture that enables advanced analytics at scale and how actionable insights can drive product improvements, generate user behavior profiles and ultimately create a business culture of data-informed decision making.

Profile

Responsible for discovering product and behavioral insights from GoPro’s growing family and ecosystem of smart devices, driving product and user experience improvements. This includes influencing and refining data pipelines in Hadoop, developing scalable machine learning data products, metrics and visualizations that produce actionable insights, enabling data informed decision making. He has a M.S. in Predictive Analytics from Northwestern University, and a B.A. in Organizational Studies from UC Davis.
