Hadoop, Spark and MongoDB: Bringing Three Powerful Technologies Together

Hadoop and MongoDB are powerful technologies which can work in concert to process information collected from search, social media and sensor data. This talk will cover the Hadoop / Spark connector for MongoDB and architures which effectively power the analytics required of context-rich applications and systems of engagement.

Bryan Reinero is Developer Advocate at MongoDB. Prior to that, he was a Senior Consulting Engineer, helping users optimize MongoDB for scale and performance. Prior to his work as a Consulting Engineer, Bryan contributor to the Java Driver for MongoDB. Earlier Bryan was Software Engineering Manager at Valueclick, leading the design and development of large scale online marketing applications for advertising, retargeting, real-time bidding and campaign optimization. Earlier still, Bryan specialized in software for embedded systems at Ricoh Corporation. Bryan also developed analysis and signal processing software for aeroacoustic research at the Experimental Physics Branch of Ames Research Center.
