Using AI and machine learning to build trust and safety in Mobile Advertising

Abstract

Mobile usage has exploded in recent years, as has the mobile advertising market. This has manifested in a large increase in the volume of available user data while simultaneously registering heightened malevolent activity in the mobile eco-system. Artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies are playing a timely role in combating fraud while protecting user experience and privacy. This talk will present how InMobi uses AI and machine learning to tackle fraud in mobile advertising.

Profile

Rajiv is the Senior Vice President of Data Sciences at InMobi. He runs the data sciences and machine learning at InMobi. Rajiv has built an ten-year career in data sciences and analytics, and is deeply passionate about the potential that information untouched by hand has to improve our lives. Prior to InMobi, Rajiv co-founded Mertado (Y Combinator Winter 2010), a social shopping platform that was acquired by Groupon. In earlier roles, he worked at McKinsey & Co. and Kosmix (now Walmart Labs). Rajiv has an undergraduate degree in physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur and a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
