Abstract

As Chief Technology Officer at Travelodge Hotels, the 2nd largest hotel chain in the UK, I had my R&D team looking at how we harness Artificial Intelligence to improve the experience for our customers and our shareholders. The sort of questions we were looking to answer with AI are: 1. Is this room clean? 2. Is this customer happy or sad? (physical hotel interactions and online interactions) 3. Is the price of the room optimised for profit?
