Kris Kolo is the Global Executive Director at the VR/AR Association (VRARA), an international organization designed to foster collaboration between solution providers and end-users that accelerates growth, fosters research and education, helps develop industry best practices, connects member organizations and promotes the services of member companies. Prior,Kris was an executive at Verizon and Toys R Us, applying AR technology to common use cases. In addition, Kris was an Advisor, Board Member, to FlyBy, an AR tech startup (acquired by Apple.) As an entrepreneur, Kris was the Co-Founder of Spime Inc, a Silicon Valley startup developing location-based & geo-spatial solutions (acquired by Trimble). And, Kris published the ground-breaking book, Local Positioning Systems, on mapping and location-based services, and was granted seven patents. Kris holds graduate degrees from MIT.
