Abstract :

In recent years, blockchain technologies claim to fundamentally change the view of smart manufacturing systems (SMS), streamlining of processes, security in operations, and information flow across the supply-chain. Today, many industries leverage IoT devices in association with corresponding predictive analytics in their connected ecosystems. Deployments of IoT devices can be complex, and a distributed ledger is well suited to provide IoT device identification, authentication and seamless secure data transfer. Blockchain can provide an increased level of transparency, control, and visibility to enable granular level of knowledge as well as history of connected devices for troubleshooting purposes in heterogeneous cloud environment. Developments in digital technologies and consequential decentralization in intelligent systems are the driving forces in the ongoing advancements to constitute adaptive IoT integration and automation. Digitalization offers many promising capabilities.
