Applied Machine Learning and Deep Learning use cases in Health Care

Abstract

Health care data consists of multivariate time series of observations as well as numerous features in vary types of information, with the wealth of insights of the EHR data, it is challenging to mine data efficiently, Deep Learning becomes a powerful and efficient tool to learn from the data compared with Machine learning and the traditional predictive modeling. In the presentation, we will predict or impute the patient’s disease and describe some of the more mainstream applications of neural networks LSTM models, aggregation of time series and static variables, as well as embedding approaches, the comparison of Deep Learning vs. Machine Learning and vs. Logistic Regression, and the additional business values achieved.
