The last 10 years have been a golden age for data science teams. The shortage of talent and high demand have created a wave of new ways of creating value from data for organizations of all sizes. However, the simultaneous arrival of several new trends will transform how data science practitioners operate in the new decade. During this session, Kin+Carta (LON:KCT) VP of Data Science, Cameron Turner will share several trends emerging that are redefining the role of AI within various industries, and how these changes are affecting the development and deliverables of data science teams globally.

Profile

Cameron is a seasoned technologist who brings to the role over twenty five years of experience delivering results through strategy, team development and full implementation of digital transformation projects. He currently serves as the VP od Data Science for Kin+Carta, a global digital transformation consulting firm, headquartered in London and Chicago, a registered B-corp.  He served as the CEO of Datorium, a machine learning and data science product company, while also leading multiple teams to deliver data products to Fortune 500 clients.  Datorium was acquired by K+C in 2021.
 
Cameron holds a BA from Dartmouth College, an MBA from Oxford University and MS in Statistics from Stanford University. He serves on the Accenture Technology Advisory Board, he is an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at StartX and a Venture Studio Advisor at Stanford’s GSB. He co-manages the Oxford Angel Fund and serves as a Venture Partner for Spike Ventures (Stanford Angel Fund).
