Best Practices for IP Protection of Artificial Intelligence Technology

Abstract

Data security is a major concern for companies all over the world. The harm from instances of data and system breaches continues to escalate in the form of lost revenue, litigation, market advantage, client privacy, and reputation. As companies devote greater resources to preventing, detecting, and responding to data and system breaches, the technology developed to deal with data security issues has improved as well. In this presentation, we will look at the latest trends around data security, including data breach, company BYOD policies, Internet of Things, big data, AI, machine learning, and other trends. We will then discuss best practices and tips for obtaining patent and other IP protection for the software and hardware systems that detect, prevent, and analyze data security issues. The discussion on IP protection will include software and hardware systems designed to address cyber-attacks and cybersecurity, malware protection, cloud protection, end point protection, data security, breach detection and analysis, and big data security.
