Data Science with Spark - Workshop

Data Science with Spark - Introductory Workshop (3.5 hrs)

• Hands-on workshop with Spark & Python with focus on Data Science. We will spend time working with different datasets and Data Science competitions.
• The attendees are expected to have Spark 1.4, iPython,Pandas and ggplot installed in their machine. iPython notebooks and slides would be published before the workshop.
• Introductory Workshop will cover Spark 1.4 Basics incl RDD and DataFrames. We will wrangle with smaller datasets to learn the fundamentals.

Data Science with Spark - Intermediate Workshop (3.5 hrs)

• Hands-on workshop with Spark & Python with focus on Data Science. We will spend time working with different datasets and Data Science competitions.
• The attendees are expected to have Spark 1.4, iPython,Pandas and ggplot installed in their machine. iPython notebooks and slides would be published before the workshop.
• Intermediate Workshop assumes fundamental knowledge of Spark and will cover Machine Learning (MLlib,ML pipelines). We will wrangle with more complex datasets.

His other passion is Lego Robotics – earlier in April, he was at St.Louis FLL World Competition as Robots Design Judge.
