Topic

The future of Mobility

Abstract

Today, Infotainment is the front face to gather information from the vehicle and provide it to the external world and bring content from external world into the vehicle. Applications include media, navigation, telematics, traffic safety, parking assistance, roadside assistance, remote diagnostics, and merchandizing. With IoT technologies the vehicle connects to home, office, other vehicles on the road, traffic signals etc. What role will the Infotainment system play in an Autonomous vehicle? Will Infotainment system serve as an information and entertainment platform alone? Since continuous monitoring of navigation by the driver (or do we say user of the car?) will not be required, how will be the traffic conditions, ETA be shared? Will there be traffic congestions on roads with Autonomous cars?
