Artificial Intelligence and Big Data in Autonomous Vehicles for multi-modal transportation

Billions of dollars have been poured into autonomous driving, as it can save lives and transform the way we live. Almost every form of multi modal transportation from cars to shuttles to trucks will be embracing this technology. Building a self-driving technology that can understand the nuances of the world and drive in all the scenarios is a hard problem. 

In this talk, the latest trends and challenges in autonomous driving as well as the important role artificial intelligence and deep learning play in enabling this technology will be highlighted. This session will discuss the nuances of developing self-driving technology and see how AI is enabling the solution that will change the transportation industry.

Gaurav currently is the Head of Autonomous Driving at Ola which is a leading ride sharing company in India and expanding international. Before this role, he lead product management for NVIDIA Autonomous Driving SDK “DriveWorks”. Previously he has held business development, marketing and engineering leadership roles at Texas Instruments. Gaurav did his B.S. and M.S. in Electrical engineering and has several publications in the area of image processing and computer vision and holds two US patents.
