Abstract

Learn the most effective ways to establish data science objectives from a business perspective including recruiting, retention, goaling, and improving business.

Haftan Eckholdt, PhD, MS is Chief Data Officer and Chief Science Officer at Understood.org where he is building out a data science team, and heading up a new programs for individuals with learning differences complementing existing programs for their parents, their teachers, and their employers. He has a successful track record building data science teams at companies like Albertsons (Plated), Amazon (Audible), and AIG. His most recent faculty appointment was in Neurology/Neuroscience at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine where he directed the Biometry core at the Kennedy Center for Human Development. He holds graduate degrees in Biostatistics as well as Developmental Psychology from Columbia and Cornell Universities. He has been living with his husband in Brooklyn for about 30 years.
