Making AI Robots Real Posted on : Feb 12 - 2019

Robots are changing the world, with diverse applications in agriculture, logistics, retail, healthcare, and more.

Developers are turning to AI to give next-generation autonomous machines the ability to sense, perceive and interact with the world around them.

At NVIDIA’s GPU Technology Conference (GTC) over 800 speakers and 200 exhibitors are tackling these types of topics. They’ll share their innovations and research at the event, which takes place from March 17 to March 21.

Notable speakers include Pieter Abbeel from UC Berkeley who will dive into deep learning for robotics and how his team’s work has led to new capabilities in manipulation, locomotion and flight.

A session from Preferred Networks will highlight how we’re getting one step closer to a world of personal robots. Users can interactively instruct this robotic picking system using everyday spoken language.

Postmates X will share its vision for a sidewalk delivery fleet of the future. Its newly released Serve is a friendly sidewalk robot powered by NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier.

There are plenty of other sessions to attend from Kiwi Campus, MIT, Musashi Seimitsu and more — with the goal of getting you brainier about bots.

Build Robotics Skills in Our Lab

GTC attendees can also participate in hands-on Jetson labs throughout the week from our team of experts. Ranging from beginner to advanced, there’s something for everyone:

  • Jetson Developer Tools Training Lab
  • Jetson 101: Deep Learning Workflow with DIGITS and TensorRT
  • Jetson 201: Reinforcement Learning in Robotics
  • F1/10 Autonomous Racing: 1/10th the Scale, 10 Times the Fun!

You can also earn a certificate in AI for robotics. Attend a full-day DLI workshop on Deep Learning for Robotics on Sunday, March 17, and learn from a certified instructor. View More
