Uncloak Unites Blockchain And Cybersecurity For A Safer Future Posted on : May 22 - 2018

There is little doubt that so-called dark hats have taken over the internet leaving it exposed, weak and vulnerable to any bad actors to use it as they will.

Not only are IT systems archaic and outdated, there is also a global skills shortage, which according to Cisco, is more than one million people.

In recent months, there has been a slowing of attacks as the world’s companies and governments (usually in that order) struggle to contain the tsunami of attacks.

To some extent it is working, but that doesn’t mean the threat has gone away; far from it. The gaps are too wide to narrow, the current system is probably beyond repair.

That is why the panacea of blockchain is needed so desperately in cybersecurity. Whether it’s anti-virus software, IoT and router defenders or even DNS attacks on websites, the problem is endemic.

Blockchain, of course, cannot cure all the world’s ills, but in a list of priorities, uniting with cybersecurity would be one of the most exigent. The internet needs to be healed as soon as possible.

Some companies in the US are already working in this space. Earlier this year and reported by Forbes, Heroic.com launched an ICO to raise $41 million to ‘decentralize cybersecurity and make AI-powered protection available to the masses’.

Across the pond in the UK, there are also moves to slay the dragon of the insecure internet, not by England’s patron saint, Saint George, but by an London-based Anglo-Nigerian entrepreneur called Tayo Dada and his rising company Uncloak.

Computer hacking is the world’s largest infrastructure problem and Uncloak wants to change this for both small and large businesses.

The current cybersecurity model is broken and we need not only to disrupt it, but to fix it, so we can have a more secure internet.

Uncloak describes itself as the world's first blockchain-powered cyber threat solution putting all businesses one step ahead of hackers. The company was founded in 2016 by an experienced London-based team of cybersecurity experts. View More
