Microsoft, the American multinational technology company established a new healthcare department based on artificial intelligence at its Cambridge research facility to enter the health market. Google, the tech giant recently plans to open an artificial intelligence (AI) research center in China. Genpact, a global professional services company launched an artificial intelligence platform called Genpact Cora to accelerate digital transformation in organizations. pCloudy, the cloud-based platform for manual and automated testing launched Cetifaya, an artificial intelligence powered app testing BOT to accelerate software testing.

Healthcare Division Set Up by Microsoft

With an aim to transform healthcare using technologies such as machine learning and cloud computing, Microsoft launched a healthcare department based on artificial intelligence system at its Cambridge research facility in September 2017. The computer giant’s research plans include studies into various diseases and monitoring systems that can aid keep patients out of hospitals and alert them about issues in a timely way. “The team’s research could include developing predictive analytic tools, and personal health information systems, as well as using AI to target interventions, said Mr. Iain Buchan, Director of Healthcare Research at Microsoft Research.

Google Opens an AI Research Center

In December 2017, Google announced its plans to open a research center based on artificial intelligence (AI) in China. According to the tech giant, the facility is the first-of-its-kind in Asia and comprises a small team operating out of its existing office in Beijing.
