Abstract

1. Kubeflow Workshop Abstract
 ABSTRACT
 - Hands-on Tutorial & Workshop: Learn the Kubeflow best practices, which are helping ML teams to double their productivity.
Kubeflow is a rapidly growing Kubernetes-based open source machine learning (ML) platform, because it simplifies the process to build, train and deploy ML models in a scalable and portable way. As presented at the last Kubeflow Contributors’ Summit, market leaders, such as LinkedIn, are leveraging Kubeflow to double the productivity of their ML team members.
This session will include presentations and hands-on demonstrations of Kubeflow's best practices by core Kubeflow contributors. It will demonstrate a popular Kubeflow Pipelines Use Case, and how to productize efficient data versioning, packaging and reproducibility.

Prerequisites
Attendees, who bring a laptop with 16GB of RAM, 2 CPUs and 50GB of free disk space, can participate in the hands-on tutorial, which will enable them to build, train and deploy a popular TFX Pipeline example using Kubeflow.   In addition, attendees should please download and install Vagrant [1] and VirtualBox [2] on the laptop (as both are prerequisites before starting the workshop).

2. Kubeflow v0.6 Software Release - Community Update & Demonstration for ML Engineers and Data Scientists
Kubeflow is a rapidly growing Kubernetes-based open source machine learning (ML) project  because it simplifies the ability to build, train and deploy ML models. This presentation and demonstration will provide an update on the Kubeflow Community and its latest software release, Kubeflow v0.6. In the demonstration, Mr. Bottum will use Kubeflow Notebooks and Pipelines to build, train and deploy a popular TFX Kubeflow Pipeline with efficient data versioning, software packaging and reproducibility.
