Strategic Planning in Digital Business Era

With the availability of technology enablers such as Internet of Things (IoT), Edge Computing, Big Data, AI- Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning algorithms, many smart systems are being designed to provide services that enhance the quality of human experience leveraging cognitive computing. A few examples of this includes autonomous driving, cyber physical systems, chatbots, cobots, etc. Considering cognitive computing as indispensable and core in developing smart systems in digital business era, would start impacting every business across every vertical whether small, medium or large. In my talk, I would like to propose formulation of a strategy that enables such an enterprise journey as current strategic planning based on logical approaches hinders the agility of outcomes within the enterprise due to separation of human factor or cognitive biases from strategy design of any transformational initiative.
