Peter is currently a Principal Solution Architect Autonomous Driving at Nvidia's Silicon Valley HQ. Peter leads and works with Nvidia's global offices and customers. Nvidia is at the center of self driving car with end-to-end autonomous driving solutions, using Deep Learning based DriveWorks, PilotNet, DrivePX2 embedded supercomputer, and DGX-1 deep learning supercomputer. Most recently, he was a principal investigator for AudiBB8 project. Live-demonstration of Audi Q7 autonomous driving was shown at CES and was used by Nvidia CEO for 2017 CES keynote speech. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and president of Audi announced autonomous driving solution to market by 2020. He has global experience in building and managing R&D teams in deep learning/machine learning, image processing, and 3D display technology. For the last twenty years in industry and academia, he has broad experience on deep learning/machine learning, computer vision, and 3D display processing technology, applied to mobile, consumer electronics, IoT, and automotive applications. He has 31 US patents and 28 peer-reviewed international publications with 10 invited speeches. He is a senior member of IEEE. Before Nvidia, he was a Sr. Director/Researcher at Samsung Electronics, South Korea HQ. He was also Sr. MTF at Hewlett-Packard, US HQ, specializing in computer vision and imaging pipeline for HP's flagship products. He received PhD degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University in Machine Learning and Computer Vision, after graduating from Seoul National University with Cum Laude.
